Stellacris is built to drop into an existing institutional estate, not to fight it. It speaks open standards end to end — a CERIF-aligned data model, persistent identifiers, OAI-PMH for harvesting, and a documented REST API — so it connects to what you already run instead of demanding you replace it.

One codebase runs as managed SaaS on EU infrastructure or on-premises behind your own firewall, with data isolated per institution and full export always available. There is no proprietary format holding your data hostage, and no exotic runtime — it is PHP 8 and a standard SQL database.

What is the technology stack?

PHP 8 with a MySQL/MariaDB database, no framework and no build step. It runs on standard shared or dedicated hosting, which keeps operations simple whether we host it or you do.

How does authentication work?

The system is SSO-ready via SAML and can integrate with your directory over LDAP. Institutional-email magic-link and password sign-in are also supported, so you can match it to your identity policy.

Can we host it ourselves?

Yes. The identical system runs on-premises behind your firewall, under your operations, with the same features as the managed SaaS. Data stays exactly where your policy requires.
